A couple of weeks ago, I decided to try some new activities with my nephews since it was coming up to Halloween. Working with children means I can get a lot of ideas of things I could try at home which is great. Over the course of the day I had 3 activities planned – chocolate apples, goo and playdough. I was a bit unsure about how the goo would go down as Anton isn’t a fan of getting his hands wet/dirty but after a couple of tries, he loved it and played in it for ages. Both boys sat so quietly all day doing all of the activities (playdough was the most popular with them sitting for at least 2 hours in silence) which was amazing as Mummy had a headache and wasn’t feeling well. It gave her a well deserved break. For apples, we did normal white and brown chocolate as well as a ‘Spiderman’ and ‘Hulk’ although ‘Spiderman was pink and didn’t turn out well and Hulk looks like he’s been at a beauty salon. As an extra treat, we made buns with the leftover chocolate. Tonight it’s just a short post so here’s some photos to sum up the activities:
I’ll post how to make goo/playdough later.
